SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING

SEL forces the child to see all issues through an emotional lens, often shutting down the right brain to logic and reason.

SEL standards involve too much introspection for children causing major issues.

Students can get so emotionally charged that they become unruly,

It forces children to reflective so much on their actions, thoughts, and feelings, they become obsessive.

They become too involved in their emotions, that they can’t express themselves or have the ability to listen to an opposing viewpoint because it doesn’t make them feel better.

SEL is ill-defined, unproven and still connected to Common Core.

It's a mish-mash of psycho-social, neuroscience talk, and programs

SEL is character education and measure character traits. It steps out of academic boundaries and takes over what should be the parents' purview.
